Keeping your data safe is our number one priority. From the moment we take possession of your information to the moment it is completely destroyed, it will remain securely in our possession. All information will be destroyed to Department of Defense standards which means no information will be recoverable. Once destroyed, we work directly with a refiner to melt down the shredded components of your hard drive. Shredded documents are sent directly to the paper mill to be made into new paper. We have a zero landfill policy that includes all materials.
Hard drive shredding
Hard drive shredding physically destroys your data by cutting your hard drives into small pieces making your data unrecoverable. Our large capacity industrial shredder can shred up to 500 hard drives per hour.
Hard drive degaussing
For data storage devices like computer and server hard drives as well as some backup tapes, degaussing renders the media completely unusable because of permanent damage to the storage system. This happens because the degausser damages the special servo control data that is written onto the media at the factory by the manufacturer. Once the servo control track is damaged, it cannot be corrected. Degaussing removes not only the stored data on the device but also removes the servo control data, and without the servo data the device is no longer able to determine where data is to be read from or written to on the magnetic media.
